1.Introduction

The search can be applied to the following data sets:
The names of folders are also searched according to the criteria specified by filter and comparison.

2.Search in the data structure

The lower part of the window shows the three fields that can be used for the search and the “Search” button; the upper part shows the result of the search as a list.

2.1.Parameters

After the following parameters have been configured as desired, the search can be started.

2.2.Filter

The filter is set by selecting one of the list entries. This limits the search to the corresponding elements.
The following entries are available in the filter selection:
  • No filter: Both worksheets and all elements that can be placed on worksheets are searched.
  • Worksheet: Only worksheets are searched.
  • Logic module: Only logic blocks are searched for.
  • Each logic module currently placed on any worksheet is assigned an entry in the list. The number in brackets indicates how often the block is used in total.
If one of these entries is used, only these blocks are searched.

2.3.Comparison

The comparison mode is determined by selecting one of the list entries. This determines the way in which the elements to be searched are compared with the search term.
The five entries available for selection are always the same:
  • Contains: Only elements where the search term is at any position will be found.
  • Does not contain: Only elements in which the search term does not occur will be found.
  • Starts with: Only elements beginning with the search term are found.
  • Ends with: Only elements that end with the search term will be found.
  • Is equal: Only elements that match the search term exactly will be found.
If the search term is found in a folder name, all worksheets located below this folder are displayed in the results list. The folders themselves are not listed.

2.4.Search for

This is the search term for which all elements described by filters are searched with the comparison method when the search is started.
If no search term is specified, or if an “*” is entered, all elements described by filters are found.

2.5.Result list

The search results are listed here. If the search returns more than 300 results, only the first 300 are displayed.
The tooltip of an entry shows its name. If it is a worksheet, the folder path is displayed. If it is a worksheet item, the name of the worksheet on which it was placed and, if applicable, its folder path is displayed.

The context menu for each item provides the functions "Remove", and display of the "Properties".
For worksheets on which a connector was created in an output box, there are also the "Links" to all linked worksheets.

3.Search in elements

The lower part of the window shows the field for the text to be searched and the “Search” button; the upper part shows the result of the search as a list.

3.1.Search for

If no search term is specified, or if a "*" is entered, all elements are found.

3.2.Result list

The search results are listed here. If the search returns more than 300 results, only the first 300 are displayed.
Each element of the list can be dragged and dropped with the mouse onto the currently active worksheet.
